Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect the minimum needed for the apps to work. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ads. We don’t track your behavior to optimize "engagement." If you delete your account, we delete your data.
What we collect
When you use Saqal (and future anonymuslim apps), we collect:
- Your email address — for sign-in and account recovery
- Your display name and optional profile fields you provide during onboarding
- Your hifz progress (which surahs and ayahs you’ve memorized) — stored locally on your device and synced to our servers so you can use the app on multiple devices
- Anonymous crash and error reports to help us fix bugs
What we don’t collect
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your microphone audio (speech recognition for review happens on-device only)
- Tracking identifiers for advertising
- Behavioral analytics ("how long you opened the app," "which features you tap")
Where your data lives
Your account and synced progress are stored in Amazon Web Services (us-east-2 region, Ohio, USA), in the AWS account owned by anonymuslim. Audio files you choose to download are stored on your device only.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. To do so, email support@anonymuslim.com or use the in-app "Delete Account" option (when available).
Account deletion removes all your synced progress from our servers within 30 days. Some backup snapshots may persist up to 90 days before being purged.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we’ll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
